Tuesday 26th
12:10 – Arrive at Chicago O’Hara airport.
1pm – bag collection from baggage reclaim.
2pm – given queues in security and customs etc.
3pm – collect car rental. ( not forgetting to leave some coins aside for tolls )
Hit the road for 3 hours
6pm – Arrive at the University of Wisconsin and check in.
8pm – Grab some food (Perkins) and possible shopping in Target.
10pm – crash out
Day one over
Wednesday
6am – up and shower
6:30 – Perkins for breakfast
7am – car park opens for the day
8am – over to the jeepesen tent to get freebie hat
8am – WW1 display aircraft
10am – 12am – fly market
2:30 – 6pm – airshow
8pm – 10pm – night time show
8pm – until late (HOPS MEET)
11pm – midnight – back to accommodation and crash
end of day two
Thursday
6am – up and shower
6:30 – Perkins for breakfast
7am – car park opens
8am – check in the B17 flight
9am – 1pm B17 flight experience
1pm – lycoming booth
2:30pm until 6pm – Airshow
6pm – biplane air show
7pm – 10pm – remote control plane arena
10pm – back to accommodation and crash
end of day three
Friday – the last full day of my Oshkosh experience.
6am – get up and shower.
7am – Perkins again for plenty of coffee and breakfast
10am – 2pm – wander around the museum
2:30 – 6pm – last full day air show
6pm – 9pm – last bits of shopping from target and gathering bits to take home
9pm – pack bags
10pm – check in online for flight home and then crash out
end of day four
Saturday
5am -get up and shower
6am – checkout of the accommodation
6am – 6:30 – check out the hot air ballon launch from perimeter
7:30 – over to Perkins for last big breakfast and coffee
(note) – 5k fun run underway so will be busy early
9am – pickup coffee cake from Target
10am – 11am leave and depart Oshkosh for the drive back to Chicago
